Hey there, I'm Shelly – a passionate visual storyteller with a heart that beats to the rhythm of music and photography.
I am a freelance production assistant and 2nd AC. When I'm not on set, you can find me working on completing my Bachelor's thesis – a multimedia project that delves into the vibrant subcultures of Emo, Punk, and Metal. Music, which has been my lifelong love, serves as the foundation for my exploration. I can often be found in the crowd at hardcore, metalcore, deathcore, and pop-punk concerts, reveling in the raw energy and emotions that these genres bring to life.
My journey as a photographer has been a journey of emotions, creativity, and the intricate art of storytelling. I'm particularly drawn to the pulsating atmosphere of concerts and the intimate depths of portrait photography. This year, I had the incredible opportunity to capture electrifying moments alongside bands like Parkway Drive, Comeback Kid, and even Lorna Shore. The thrill of photography lies in the creative process, where I aim to encapsulate and amplify emotions in every frame.
My love for photography extends to both the digital and analog realms. Whether it's the vintage charm of 35mm film or the medium format allure of 120, I relish the control and intimacy that comes with developing my own shots. There's something inherently exciting about watching an image slowly come to life in the darkroom, a process that adds depth and character to the art of photography.
I'm always open to collaboration and new photographic adventures. Whether it's capturing the essence of a subculture, creating stunning portraits, or adding a unique touch to your visual project, I'm here to bring your vision to life. If you're as passionate about photography as I am, let's connect and see where our shared creativity can take us.
So, if you're ready to embark on a visual journey, whether it's in the dimly lit venues of a concert or the subtle nuances of a portrait, let's make some magic happen together. Drop me a line, and let's tell your story through my lens.
